    Advent Windows

    4:00 pmSt Giles' Church

Little Lights have had a lovely crib made which is standing outside the church door, and have also set up a nativity trail to follow starting from the noticeboard at the bottom of St Giles' drive. 'Instructions' about the trail are displayed in the noticeboard.

Also, the Gilesgate residents have organised their advent windows with the last 'window' being the church porch.  They have asked us to let you know the following, which is within the special Covid-19 guidelines for the Christmas period:

The Gilesgate Advent Windows Calendar” will conclude with the opening of the final window which is the Main door of St Giles church at 5pm on Thursday 24 December. This will be accompanied by some outside carol singing as permitted under the outdoor carolling covid rules. Each “Christmas Bubble must stay 2 metres apart and wear masks”. This will NOT be a led service, but carols will be played through a speaker and people will be welcome to join in with singing.

Takeaway, Covid secure, mulled wine, tea and juice and mince pies/biscuits will be provided at the door of the Church Hall. Hand sanitiser will be provided. All welcome. Gather at 4.45 outside the church, remembering to stay with your Christmas Bubble and 2m apart from others. Wear a mask.
